About us

Locke Science is an academic publisher with a long-standing commitment to advancing scholarship in the built environment and related disciplines. Since 1984, Locke Science has published the Journal of Architectural and Planning Research (JAPR), supporting rigorous, peer-reviewed work in architecture, planning, and environmental design. Building on this legacy and responding to emerging research needs, Locke Science expanded its portfolio in 2023 with the launch of two new peer-reviewed titles: the Journal of Management and Planning Research (JMPR) and the Journal of Urban Development and Smart Cities (JUDSC)—broadening its mission to include management and planning research as well as interdisciplinary smart city and urban development studies.
